How the market data works
Records are collected from permitted feeds and search-result discovery, stored with source links, and normalized into comparable vehicle fields.
Price comparisons
Averages are calculated separately by currency. The dashboard compares a detected asking price with its currency and peer-group average; it does not present asking prices as completed sale prices.
Why a listing may show an odd price: search snippets can expose a deposit, monthly finance amount, auction increment, or unrelated number. Values below £500 or above £2,000,000 are excluded from the price benchmark and marked as noise rather than treated as the vehicle price.
What the fields mean
Manufacturer, country, body type, drivetrain, condition, and specification are detected from listing text. “Unstated” means the source did not provide enough evidence; it is not a claim that the vehicle lacks that feature.
SEO and analytics
SEO metadata helps search engines understand the site, while Search Console reports indexing and search visibility. Analytics measures visits only after a valid GA4 measurement ID is configured.
Responsible collection
Collection respects configured rate limits, source terms, robots guidance, authentication boundaries, and anti-bot controls. Captchas and restricted pages are not bypassed.
